Ibogaine can be very beneficial also to former addicts.Unless one is clean for at least a year or more one is just clean but not craving free. More time has to pass to "forget" the drug. The brain chemistry that got twisted by the drug to provoke cravings turns to its original state very very slowly. Ibogaine can help to eliminate these cravings for the drug thus diminuishing the risk of relapsing considerably. Please note, that with the word craving I mean cravings chemically induced by the drug ! One can relaps even after ibogaine and without these cravings simply for having "a bad day". In this context one of the worse days (relapse-wise) is splitting up with a partner/wife/husband, but it could be anything from death of a relative, a quarrell to bankruptcy.
